Brax Cutchin is almost there. He has just completed The Length of the Day, an 11-song CD that showcases his strong songwriting, distinct vocals and immensely talented band. The music has been described as U2 meets Wilco, and Brax’s voice sounds kind of like a blend of Johnny Cash and David Bowie. The songs are passionate and literate and are performed with heart and abandon. Brax has received nominations for two San Diego Music Awards in 2000: “Best Rock” and “Best Pop Album” for Thru. The band was also nominated for “Best Rock Band” in the 2000 San Diego Reader Best of San Diego poll.
